Super Show!, featuring a WWF Hall of Fame wrestler named “Captain” Lou Albano as Mario. film from 1993, starring Bob Hoskins as Mario and John Leguizamo as Luigi, and the 1989 Super Mario Bros. Movie was first officially announced in 2018, I assumed Nintendo would do everything they could to separate it from the Mario iterations of the ’80s and ’90s.
